Shannon Urabe is a new Educator at MOCA but isn’t new to MOCA. She interned at MOCA back in 2016 as a Media intern and helped with the Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Spicy: Stories of Chinese Food and Identity in America exhibition. Since then, Shannon has worked at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience in Seattle and at the Brooklyn Historical Society. She recently received her Master of Science in Teaching with a dual track in Childhood/Childhood Special Education at Fordham University and has spent the past three years teaching in the classroom for grades 5th – 7th grade.
