Ever wonder what it would be like to see yourself on the cover of a magazine? Small publications from the 1980s-2000s were some of the first to feature Asian Americans front and center. Browse through cover art that did just that and design a magazine cover starring… you! From choosing the perfect images to designing catchy headlines, explore the elements that make a cover stand out on the newsstand.
Paint, build, craft, and collage with us! Inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and local artists, MOCACREATE explores different themes every month. MOCACREATE workshops are designed with families in mind, but all are welcome!
FREE! RSVP optional, but appreciated.
