Join the Musicians of the New York Philharmonic for a special afternoon of music in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This concert is part of their ongoing commitment to fostering community, inclusivity, and representation in the performing arts while amplifying the missions of partner organizations. This event highlights the work of Committee of 100, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the participation and representation of Chinese Americans in all areas of American life.
Centered around the themes of home and belonging, this concert brings powerful storytelling through music to communities beyond Lincoln Center — and invites audiences to connect through shared experiences and new perspectives.
Nearly one-third of the Philharmonic’s musicians are of Asian descent. This performance honors their cultural heritage and artistic voices, highlighting music by composers and performers from across the AAPI diaspora. The works featured in the program were chosen for the personal significance they hold for the performers. The afternoon will also include a brief presentation from Committee of 100, who will share more about their mission and impact.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful celebration — a tribute to identity, heritage, and the power of music to bring us home.
