在 MOCA 的纺织珍品馆藏中，有各种可爱的童装，展示了中美之间独特的历史故事。 2007年MOCA面向在中国收养了小孩的家庭征集档案和文物，建立了MOCA的收养档案馆藏。自 1991 年中国开始实施国际收养计划以来，美国家庭已收养了大约 85,000 名中国儿童。虽然最初被安置在孤儿院，但实际上他们大多数并不是孤儿，而是出生家庭被迫放弃或因违反中国严格的独生子女政策而面临严厉惩罚的女婴。因此，跨国收养华人孩子的故事往往是一个家庭的巨大喜悦和另一个家庭的悲伤。
