It’s time for the Qing Ming festival, when families remember those who’ve passed on and spend the day outdoors together. Families gather to honor their ancestors and make ritual offerings of food and flowers. Because Qing Ming is at the beginning of spring, one of the most popular activities to do on this day is to fly kites! Make your very own spring kite that really flies! We’ll also be making paper flowers to help us remember those we love.
Paint, build, craft, and collage with us! Inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and local artists, MOCACREATE explores different themes every month. MOCACREATE workshops are designed with families in mind, but all are welcome!
FREE! RSVP optional, but appreciated.
